Tia Woods is a musician, educator, and community organizer from Rush, Kentucky. She performs solo and with the band Ditch Lilies as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist. Tia grew up in a musical family and was strongly encouraged from a young age to sing. She eventually learned to play guitar and is learning to play fiddle! She also pushed herself out of her comfort zone and started writing songs. Tia’s debut album is available on all streaming platforms and she is on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube as Ms. Tia Woods.
Sarah Bailey is the drummer for the Ditch Lilies and a Logan County, West Virginia native. She was raised listening to bluegrass and gospel, while eventually developing a love for rock music as a teenager. She started marching and concert band while in high school. Her favorite artist is Paul McCartney who she has seen in concert 4 times.
During her undergraduate degree, Sarah participated in marching band, concert band, jazz ensemble, percussion ensemble, musical theater pit ensemble, and private lessons, while developing an interest in the world of music business. She graduated in 2018 with a bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with concentrations in music and business and a Bachelor’s Degree in History. In 2023, Sarah obtained her Master's in Business Administration with a concentration in music business.
Sarah has participated in various community bands throughout her region. She also offers private percussion, piano, guitar, and ukulele lessons. Most recently, Sarah took on the role of the Director of Bands at her high school Alma Mater and is passionate about promoting the arts in public education.
In her spare time, Sarah enjoys reading, being outdoors, and spending time with her 2 cats, Mordecai and Lil Sis, and her dog, Coco.
